Little Lambs bike trail

VVV Texel’s Little Lambs bike trail is a 35-kilometre path along the areas of island with the most sheep, so it’s even more fun to go in spring when the lambs fill the meadows! The route is available in the VVV Texel shop and is available in Dutch and German. The accompanying booklet also answers all conceivable questions about the breed of Texel sheep and lambing. For instance, do you know the best way of getting a sheep back on its feet or what the daubs of colour on their fleeces mean?

More 'Island Routes'

Our Island Routes route booklet includes the Achter de Rugediek cycle route and more. This route partly follows the Bird Boulevard and is highly recommended in spring! The bird migration is then in full swing and the breeding season has also started. The cycling and walking routes in the Eilandroutes booklet take you to the most beautiful spots on the island and provide you with the best background information. The booklet is available in Dutch and German and can be bought in our shop.
