The Texel Farm Shop

In the beautifully decorated farm shop at Schapenboerderij Westerweg near Den Hoorn, you will find a wide range of Texel products and products with Texel ingredients. Think cheese, sausage, ice cream, apple juice, beer, pasta, jam and much more. Looking for a delicious souvenir? Then be sure to drop by here. Also fun: in spring, you can take a look at the lambs and piglets in the stable.

Opening hours: The shop is open Monday to Saturday from 10.00 - 17.00.

Novalishoeve

Novalishoeve on Hoornderweg near Den Hoorn is a farm with day café, bakery, edible garden, shop, ice-cream workshop and cheese dairy! You can take a look in the stables, have fun in the playground or take a seat in the café or on the terrace. On the farm, the tastiest breads, pies, ice creams, cheeses, soups, milk and yoghurt are made every day. So don't forget your shopping bag!

Opening hours: The shop is open Monday to Saturday from 09.30 - 16.30.

The De Waddel farm shop

On stolp farm De Waddel at the foot of the Hoge Berg, the farm shop and fresh and frozen food vending machines sell, among other things, raw milk sheep's cheese and real Texel lamb. At De Waddel, they work in a nature-inclusive and circular way as much as possible. The sheep walk outside all year round and the lambs grow up with their mothers. From May to October, some of the sheep are milked. From the milk, they make sheep's cheese using traditional methods. De Waddel is a member of Slow Food, a global organisation dedicated to preserving traditional cuisine and a good, clean and fair food system.

Opening hour:
The Waddel is open from 1 May to 31 October on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am-12pm. From 1 November to 30 April, they are open only on Saturdays from 10.30am - 12.30pm. The roadside vending machine is always open.

Farm shop De Hoge Kamp

Texelaars Arjen and Lonneke Boerhorst are nature-inclusive farmers pur sang! They sell various types of lamb from their own farm in their little shop on Hoornderweg near Den Burg. Besides genuine Texel lamb, they also have other delicious Texel products such as jam, ice cream, pasta and lavender honey, and souvenirs such as sheepskins and wool fat. In their work, Arjen and Lonneke pay extra attention to nature, the landscape and the animals. With great dedication, they do meadow bird management on their sheep farm 'De Hoge Kamp'.

Opening hours:
De Hoge Kamp does not have fixed opening hours. If the farmer or farmer's wife is at home, you are welcome to visit the farm and shop. If you want to make sure the shop is open, please call Lonneke 0031622 420 051 or Arjen 0031623 231 795.

Farm shop Hoogvliet

Farm Hoogvliet is located in the middle of Texel, on Nieuwlanderweg. The grassland there is used for free-range animals and the arable land for growing sugar beet, flower bulbs, potatoes and grain. The farm shop sells Texel lamb and beef. There is fresh lamb every Friday, all year round! There are also 15 camping sites where you can 'camp at the farm'.

Opening hours
: Farm shop Hoogvliet is open on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10.00 - 12.00.

Food forest Texel

Between Den Burg and Oudeschild, on the Mediterranean Road, you will find Voedselbos Texel Here you can walk around the garden, play in the playground, or take a seat on the terrace. You can pick your own strawberries and other fruit, and you can taste and buy the newly harvested produce in the farm shop. Several Texel restaurants make delicious pies and desserts from the delicious strawberries grown here. The shop also sells other locally made products such as advocaat, jam, syrup and more.

Opening hours:
Open Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.

From 1 November to 1 April, only the self-service shop is open daily between 10.00 - 16.00.

Besides these farm shops, you will also find various roadside stalls. Here you can buy eggs, potatoes or flowers, for example. Hop on your bike and discover them all!
