The white church of Oudeschild was built in the 17th century. At that time, many sailors came to church. They anchored their ship off Oudeschild, waiting for a favorable wind. In the 18th century in particular, this church was heavily visited by sailors. Protestant Wadden Region Texel This church is one of the three Protestant churches on Texel. The church can be visited in July and August. Every Thursday the church is open for a short tour and there is room for rest and meditation.
