Wezenspyk's mature sheep cheese won gold at the Cum Laude Awards! Owner Job Witte is proud that his cheese factory won this award at the largest cheese inspection in the Netherlands. To the Texelse Courant, he tells ‘The cheese inspectors are really strict. And they have been strict on Wezenspyk in the past. But this cheese, it scored well before in Rome, at another inspection. So we thought: we'll send this one to the Cum Laude Awards. This cheese is really different. We make the cheese we like best ourselves, but of course we also look at what the market wants. A lot of sending, a lot of trying. That's how we got an insanely delicious cheese.’
