This summer, the Zomerkerk is organizing surprising concerts by professional musicians. Concerts also take place in the Zeemanskerk in Oudeschild: Tuesday, August 6, 2024: Silvan de Smit will perform with his classical nylon string guitar. A program ranging from Bach to Rodrigo. Silvan obtained his Master's degree at the Conservatory of Amsterdam four years ago, has already performed at venues such as Het Concertgebouw and Radio 4. Portuguese, Spanish, French, English and Scottish songs from the Renaissance and Baroque periods, written mainly for continuo group or lute accompaniment, here arranged for the more intimate setting of voice and viola da gamba, to highlight this previously unknown possibility.
