Pieternel Geurtz is not only an artist, but also a master of arts & visual design/education. Her studio 'De Garage' is located in Den Burg. Artist and more Pieternel has lived on Texel since 1984 and was a teacher of Drawing/Art & Culture at the De Hogeberg school in Den Burg until 2010. She is a member of artists' association ZOUT and founder and co-member of the board of Stichting Creatief Texel. She is also a writer and designer of Boris Diaries and other educational, smaller books about Boris the tortoise. Atelier gallery at home Pieternel often paints on the Texel beach, but also makes other work such as photography and graphic designs. She also sculpts small miniatures with great love and draws poppies in one line on strips of poppy. She has her own studio gallery at home, 'De Garage' . Opening hours: usually open on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. or by appointment by email or telephone. Pieternel also exhibits her art in the showcase of VVV Texel and participates in Pakje Kunst bij de Toegift.
