During the 'Texel wool' workshop you will work with recycled and natural materials. You work with loose washed and carded Texel wool. Would you like to spend a morning busy? Then join in! Also fun for a team outing, friends' day, bachelor party or family outing. You can choose from two different types of techniques: - Smyrna crocheting: Smyrna is a type of crocheting with loose washed, carded wool and a special crochet hook, so it becomes just like a piece of sheepskin. This sheepskin is therefore washable. Once you start and you see the matter grow into a sheepskin, it becomes addictive. Be careful, it will be almost impossible to stop! - Slings (Stroppen): this is an old Texel technique, we give it a modern twist. We crochet with loose carded Texel wool, you can make anything with this technique, but we make slippers or a hat for a small "Sommeltje". The workshop is given by Ans Kikkert, also an ice cream farmer on Texel, previously in the forest. Now that she no longer goes out every day with her ice cream, she has started working on her creativity and now offers workshops on the farm. During the workshop, Ans will tell you all about Texel wool and you can also ask her anything. Please note: there is a minimum number of participants for this workshop. If there are too few participants, you will be told in advance whether the workshop can take place. Times: every Monday from 9:30 AM - approx. 12:00 PM (may be slightly longer).
