Friday, Dec. 22, 2023 Singer Lauri Brons and pianist Elisabeth Waverijn give a Christmas concert in Waalderkerk in De Waal. Enjoy the warm sounds and polyphonic singing, with Manon Schooneman and Fleur Kuip. With a cup of mulled wine or hot chocolate during the break. Time: 8 pm to 9.20 pm. Waalderkerk
A modern building in an ancient site. That is the Waalderkerk in De Waal. The church is used by the Protestant congregation. The history The church building was built in 1952, because in 1945 the earlier building was destroyed. The church became a municipal monument in 2020. Organ and cemetery There is an organ in the Waalderkerk, which is completely attuned to the architecture of the church. Next to the church is a cemetery. People who lived in De Waal or De Koog are buried here.
