Unique concert Russian-Belgian family
Sunday 30 April 2023 A unique performance by the Belgian-Russian Alexeev family with father Valéry, mother Natascha and their two daughters Eva (10) and Polina (18). Music is their life! They perform a varied, light classical repertoire with piano, violin, accordion and vocals. Originally Russian, Alexeev followed his music teacher when he started teaching at the conservatory in Ghent. Since then, the family has lived in Belgium. Time: 3 pm. This church is well hidden: from the road you have no idea that there is a church on Diek. This is due to its history, De Vermaning was built as a hidden church for the Mennonite congregation. Access through a secret gate The gate of Diek 11 gives you access to the path that takes you to the church. The church is hidden behind a row of houses and in the backyard of Diek 11, as it were. Exhibition space The church is no longer used for services of the Baptist congregation. It is now a place where exhibitions and activities are organized.
