There is a lot to tell about the rich history and beautiful surroundings of Den Hoorn. Guide Paul Dekker takes you on a wandering and discovery tour that you will not soon forget. This special excursion starts in Paul's home, where he shows his own museum collection. For example, he shows you things from antiquity, which he encounters during his daily forays as a beachcomber/treasure finder/amateur archaeologist. During the walk through and around Den Hoorn, prehistory, the VOC era and the Second World War are discussed. Paul knows everything about military matters, such as where bombs and shot down planes are located. But he also has knowledge about the medicinal and edible plants that you encounter in the landscape. He takes you along surprising paths that you would not easily find yourself. The excursion lasts no less than three hours and experience shows that these hours fly by! Please note: there is a minimum number of participants for this excursion.
