Join a guide from 'Texel excursions' on a bike ride across the southern tip of Texel. This is where the island of Texel originated! And not only Texel, but the whole of the western Netherlands. From the TESO harbor on Texel we cycle to the authentic town of Den Hoorn, which is located on the edge of the western dune area. In this village is the beautiful 600-year-old white church, one of the most photographed buildings on Texel, which we can also visit when the church is open. Then we continue by bike along the dune area to the forest De Dennen. From here we continue cycling across the Old Land of Texel towards the beautiful Hoge Berg area. This area has a lot of history, which the guide tells extensively about. It really is a unique area in the Netherlands that every visitor to Texel should have visited. After a visit to Fort De Schans we cycle via the east side of Texel (beautiful surprising route!) Back to the TESO harbour. Please note: there is a minimum number of participants for this excursion.
