Thursday 8 to Sunday 11 June 2023 The theme for 2023 is 'Pushing boundaries'. There are many physical boundaries on Texel, such as garden walls, ditches, fences, hedges and wooded banks; there are transitions or boundaries from sea beach to dunes and dykes, and from dunes and dykes to land that is or was used by humans. Human boundaries, psychological, physical and social, are also addressed in this exhibition of visual and performing arts. Klifhanger is a manifestation of art on location in and around Den Hoorn. Artists present their works of art outside in a yard, field, garden or in the dune area and inside in a shed, room, hall or recreation room. That work is specially made for the location and has a connection with the place where it is presented. The participating artists were given plenty of room by the board of Klifhanger for their own interpretation of the theme Pushing boundaries. There is also a sales exhibition in the De Waldhoorn village hall. The visit to Klifhanger is free, as is the flyer/folding card that is available at various places in Den Hoorn and the island. The artists are present at their work during the day and the public can come into contact with them. Opening hours: the program differs per day.
