Staatsbosbeer Texel protects and manages a large number of nature reserves on Texel. The Staatsbosbeheer office is located in Den Burg. A small version of The Netherlands On Texel you will find just about all Dutch landscape types. You will find polders, dunes, heath, forest, beach and mudflats. That is why Staatsbosbeheer has built an extensive network of walking and cycling paths so that everyone can enjoy this beautiful nature. To find out even more about the varied Texel landscape, it is possible to go on an excursion with the forester. Nature management and protection One of the tasks of Staatsbosbeheer is to keep the various nature reserves beautiful, diverse and accessible so that visitors can fully enjoy all the beauty that can be found on Texel. There is much to enjoy in the Dunes of Texel National Park for nature lovers. Adventurous paths lead past wet moors and beautiful dune lakes. Texel is above all a bird paradise. Birds nest and forage everywhere.
