Rehearsal weekend Sprank, modern jazz trio
Friday 13 to Sunday 15 September 2024 Sprank, modern jazz trio is rehearsing for a weekend in De Vermaning. A fascinating combination of trumpet, double bass and accordion with Suzan Veneman, Sylvia Maessen and Hans van der Maas. All three have a lot of experience with performances in various formations; this weekend they are practicing their own repertoire. The public is welcome to attend part of the rehearsals. Opening hours: De Vermaning is open daily from 11 am - 4 pm. On Sunday afternoon from 3 pm there is a 'performance' for the public. Free entrance, voluntary contribution.

This church is well hidden: from the road you have no idea that there is a church on Diek. This is due to its history, De Vermaning was built as a hidden church for the Mennonite congregation. Access through a secret gate The gate of Diek 11 gives you access to the path that takes you to the church. The church is hidden behind a row of houses and in the backyard of Diek 11, as it were. Exhibition space The church is no longer used for services of the Baptist congregation. It is now a place where exhibitions and activities are organized.
