The Sommeltjespad is a children's walking route in the forest near De Koog. Along the 1.5 kilometer walking route, the children can look for Sommeltjes, these are mythical figures that you will find along the route. But there is more: take a good look around you and discover much more than just Sommeltjes! Fun fact: according to a Texel legend, Sommeltjes are a kind of goblins who live in the Sommeltjesberg. At night they are living creatures and when the sun rises they would turn to stone.
