Sunday, March 16, 2025 With the singer Ola Rud (Ukraine), the guitarist Joan Fort (Spain) and the double bass player Omer Govreen (Israel) an international jazz trio performs. Ola Rud was well known in her home country. She worked for the Kiev Radio and gave regular concerts. Three years ago she fled to Amsterdam. With her unmistakable, warm voice and captivating manner, she sings herself into the hearts of the audience. Joan Fort is a phenomenal, internationally trained jazz guitarist with Catalan roots. He studied in Barcelona, Amsterdam and Philadelphia and performs with various bands. Omer Govreen is a double bass player and composer active in the European jazz scene. He has released six albums, performs with numerous artists and leads his own quartet. The international trio will perform at the opening of the exhibition 'Ontluikende Natuur', but it is also possible to attend just the concert. Everyone is welcome! This church is well hidden: from the road you have no idea that there is a church on Diek. This is due to its history, De Vermaning was built as a hidden church for the Mennonite congregation. Access through a secret gate The gate of Diek 11 gives you access to the path that takes you to the church. The church is hidden behind a row of houses and in the backyard of Diek 11, as it were. Exhibition space The church is no longer used for services of the Baptist congregation. It is now a place where exhibitions and activities are organized.
