The edible nature garden or food forest is a place of delight with both edible crops and appropriate architecture. Think of it as a sample garden created through a mix of influences. From permaculture, they learn the permanent planting and covering of the soil. From the food forest movement comes working with multiple layers of edible crops. From landscaping, they applied sightlines, open and closed areas and rows of trees. With this experience, they can also provide advice and gardening tips for your own garden. It is the result of 30 years of greenery experience of both Siem and Conradine. In their shop, you will find edible plants, tea from our own grounds and jams and more. Opening hours: from May to mid-October on Thursday, Friday or Saturday between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Entrance: € 7.50 p.p. The entrance fee includes tea from the garden and/or coffee and cake. Nature Goed in Oosterend is the edible nature garden of Texel. Garden On the edge of Oosterend, Siem and Conradine are developing an edible garden. Surprisingly many edible plants, berries and nuts grow on the 1 ha site. They create edible nature, inspired by the currents of permaculture, food forests and garden and landscaping. The themes of water, heat and bee and butterfly-friendly are important in this regard. They are happy to take you through the garden to inspire you and to share the knowledge they have collected over the past 30 years. You can contact them for garden advice. Are you curious about how you can garden with nature at home? Then come by or make an appointment at Natuur Goed. Workshops Siem and Conradine also offer workshops and courses in the visiting garden. The workshops are aimed at combining educational and outdoor activities. It is also possible to make tea with herbs from the garden or a delicious lunch.
