Music on Sunday with Lauri and Elisabeth
Sunday 1 Oct 2023 Lauri Brons (vocals) and Elisabeth Waverijn (piano) will perform at De Vermaning. The duo is no strangers to Texel. The ladies have been working together for over two years, giving concerts and group singing lessons in 'Muziekkerk De Waal'. For this occasion, they will perform a programme of classical music and pieces from musicals, e.g. Mozart and Leonard Bernstein. The performance is free, voluntary contribution is possible. Time: 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm Entrance: free, possible voluntary contribution.

De Vermaning Den Hoorn
This church is well hidden: from the road you have no idea that there is a church on Diek. This is due to its history, De Vermaning was built as a hidden church for the Mennonite congregation. Access through a secret gate The gate of Diek 11 gives you access to the path that takes you to the church. The church is hidden behind a row of houses and in the backyard of Diek 11, as it were. Exhibition space The church is no longer used for services of the Baptist congregation. It is now a place where exhibitions and activities are organized.
