Unique celebration of punk, jazz and progressive rock with AMAGUK
Wednesday, November 15, 2023 The international three-piece band AMAGUK turns every performance into a party with a danceable mix of jazz and progressive rock. They played at North Sea Jazz, performed in London and toured Greece and the Canary Islands. In 2019 they won the prestigious Erasmus Prize for their combination of punk and jazz:. Screaming guitar and sax solos, super tight grooves, loud drums and colorful harmonies. “This band makes progressive jazz/rock as it should be: fast, loud and with a punk attitude!” And now they are on Texel to practice for a few days for a new album. To conclude their stay they give a small concert. De Vermaning is completely ripped out of its comfort zone. A unique experience! Time: 8:00 PM Costs: voluntary contribution

This church is well hidden: from the road you have no idea that there is a church on Diek. This is due to its history, De Vermaning was built as a hidden church for the Mennonite congregation. Access through a secret gate The gate of Diek 11 gives you access to the path that takes you to the church. The church is hidden behind a row of houses and in the backyard of Diek 11, as it were. Exhibition space The church is no longer used for services of the Baptist congregation. It is now a place where exhibitions and activities are organized.
