Meierblis
Wednesday 30 April 2025 Please note: due to persistent drought, the private Meierblissen (including the one at De Waddel) and the village blis of De Koog will not take place in 2025. The seven village bliss (with the exception of De Koog) must be located at a sufficient distance from nature reserves and/or risky objects. Under the same circumstances, there is therefore no objection to allowing these meierblissen to take place. The arrival of spring is celebrated by lighting bonfires. Each village has its own public Meierblis; there are also dozens of private bliss. Start time: when it gets dark (approximately 7:00 PM).

The communal Meierblissen are in: - De Koog: at the Bosrandweg, at the marked location -> due to the drought, the Meierblis of De Koog may not be lit. - Den Burg: diagonally opposite Stayokay Texel - Oudeschild: at the Redoute, at the marked location, 1 km past Oudeschild towards Pontweg, on the right in the verge - Oosterend: on the corner of Nieuweschild-Fanneweg - Den Hoorn: at the Stolpweg, at the marked location - De Cocksdorp: at the Stengweg, on the storage site of the Hoogheemraadschap (delivery via the Hoofdweg) - De Waal: at Spangerweg 10, at the marked location - ‘t Horntje: behind the bicycle rental company, on the grounds of the Hoogheemraadschap
