Monday 28 April 2025 Jan Boon and Jan de Leeuw will give a lecture in the village hall De Waldhoorn in Den Hoorn about the development of the Texel inlet and the changes in and along the Texel South and Southwest coast. They will talk about new insights regarding the origin of the Marsdiep, among other things. They will take you on a journey through time from the penultimate ice age to the origin of the Texel inlet and the dune area near Den Hoorn. Through all the changes in the inlet and the dunes near Den Hoorn, the possible future concealment of the Razende Bol with Texel will be discussed. The lecture is an initiative of the Historical Society Texel on the occasion of the 40th anniversary.
