Lecture on the sun
Friday 7 February 2025 People's Observatory ‘De Jager’ is organising a lecture on the sun by Kees Veth. The lecture will address questions such as: When and where did the sun originate? What is the life cycle of the sun? How do we know what is happening in the sun? Solar activity - are there any new insights on this? Time: 20:00 Cost: € 5 per person (cash, no pin) including cup of coffee or tea Registration or reservation is not necessary.

A short distance outside De Koog in the dunes near paal 17, you will find the nature museum and seal sanctuary Ecomare. seals If you want to see a seal up close, this is possible in Ecomare. The seals are fed at 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. During the feeding, everything is told about the seals that live in Ecomare. You can also admire other sea creatures in Ecomare.
