During the lecture, Prof. Dr. De Graaff will discuss, among other things, the history of Texel during WWII when Russian, Georgian soldiers, were stationed here. Due to the presence of these 'communists', Texel could count on special attention from the military intelligence service. Why were these Georgian soldiers important to international secret services?
