Wednesday 2 April 2025 Prof. Dr. Bob de Graaff will give a lecture on the secret history of NL intelligence services in Cinema Texel. During the lecture, Prof. Dr. De Graaff will discuss, among other things, the history of Texel during WWII when Russian, Georgian soldiers, were stationed here. Due to the presence of these 'communists', Texel could count on special attention from the military intelligence service. Why were these Georgian soldiers important to international secret services? What role did Texel play in this geopolitical chess game? He will also highlight the importance of international intelligence services. He will also make the link to current missions, such as Ukraine and Srebrenica. De Graaff, an expert in intelligence and security, will share his knowledge and answer questions.
