Workshop Sculpting in soapstone
During the soapstone sculpting workshop you will learn how to work a stone with different tools. Exciting to see how a new shape of your own is created. Soapstone is a relatively soft type of stone in different colours of pink, white, green and black. The workshop is for 4 to 6 people. Age from approx. 6 years. The workshop is given by artist Door Dogger, who is of Texel descent. She lived and worked in Amsterdam on the Western Islands and graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in 1995. Door is now on Texel and creates art from beachcomber material. She also makes drawings and paintings with lots of colour. Times: Wednesday and Friday from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Other days are also possible on request. Please contact Door Dogger for this. Prices: adult € 45.00, child (up to 18 years) € 22.50. Price includes sculpture stone of choice (soapstone) and something to drink (coffee/tea or lemonade). Tickets are available, click on ‘View times’ to book. The studio of visual artist Door Dogger is located in the harbour town of Oudeschild. Versatility Door is a versatile artist. She uses products from nature for the artworks she creates. She creates eco-art by recycling used products. Door makes abstract paintings and also does graphic work. Door's work can be admired in her studio. Workshop If you want to give your creativity free rein, you can follow a workshop with Door. Painting, drawing or sculpting, it is all possible. Door organizes art workshops in the open air and in her studio. A fully catered day including lunch is also possible. Door also gives tailor-made workshops for groups, please contact her for this.
