Friday, November 3, 2023 On National Nature Work Day, November 3, Staatsbosbeheer will work with you on the Alloo. This area is located between the dunes and the edge of the forest. Previously this area was used for agriculture. After the implementation of various nature restoration measures by Staatsbosbeheer, this area is recovering into a wet dune valley. Special species such as sundew and gingerbread develop beautifully here. Due to the location of the area along the forest edge, tree seedlings emerge every year. To continue to offer the special species of the wet dune valley an opportunity and to keep the area open, we remove these young trees. The area is too wet to carry out this work with machines. We will therefore remove the trees by hand on the nature work day. Any help is welcome. Don't forget to wear boots! Staatsbosbeheer provides tools and gloves.
