Would you like to know more about Texel sheep and the typical Texel landscape? Then visit the Sheep Museum. In the museum you will become acquainted with the special history of the Texel sheep. There is attention for typical sheep products, such as cheese and wool and you discover why sheep fines have a straight side. During the walk on the way to the Schapenboet you will discover everything about Texel sheep farming and farm life on the island. Make sure you don't miss anything! The museum is located directly behind Cheese Farm Wezenspyk and is free to visit. Opening Hours: Open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Delicious Texel cheese has been made at Kaasboerderij Wezenspyk for more than 35 years. Kaasboer Anton Witte has started making the classic Texel Boerenkaas. The range was later expanded with the famous Texel Sheep Cheese and the delicious Goat Cheese. The cheeses regularly win prizes. In March 2018, Texel Beer Cheese won the Cumlaude Awards. Take a look at the traditional cheese making and taste the cheeses in the farm shop. Are you visiting the farm? Follow the landscape path to the Schapenmuseum and learn everything about Texel sheep farming and the history of Texel. Cheese farm Wezenspyk is open from Monday to Saturday from 9.30 am to 5 pm. And on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This also applies to the Sheep Museum. On Mondays, the farm is also on the market in Den Burg from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dogs are welcome, provided they are kept on a leash, around the farm up to and including the sheep museum.
