Ice cream party at De Waddel sheep farm
Saturday May 18, 2024 Emmie from Emmies ice cream kicks off the new season with a real ice cream party at De Waddel sheep farm. The new cheese season of De Waddel is also celebrated during the ice cream festival. In addition to tasting well-known and new flavors of artisanal sheep's milk ice cream and the latest sheep's cheese, fun activities are organized for visitors. For example, you can take a look at the cheese and ice cream factory, the food forest is available and children can do crafts and do a fun treasure hunt. Times: 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM.

Please note: parking is not possible, so come on your bike! If you want to come by car, you can park at the Georgian cemetery (cross on foot via the garden rampart path between Zuid-Haffel and Westergeest).

Sheep's milk ice cream Emmie makes delicious ice cream from sheep's milk from De Waddel sheep farm. After spring, milking is slowly phased out until about mid-September. This means that ice can only be made between May and September. Texel flavors The ice cream is available in different flavors at various (farm) shops, such as De Waddel and Boer Jens. You also regularly encounter Emmie with her ice cream truck at Texel festivals and markets. Emmies ice cream is available in the regular flavors of strawberry (with strawberries from Food Forest Texel), vanilla and sea buckthorn, but she also regularly experiments with new Texel flavors.
