The 600-year-old Hoornder church in Den Hoorn is one of the most photographed buildings on the island. The church is open for viewing from Tuesday to Thursday and tour guides are present to tell you about the church and its history. A great opportunity to experience the special atmosphere. In August you can come to the church on Thursday afternoons from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Enjoy a short organ concert, listen to music, silence and a story. Tip: also take a look at the exhibition space in De Hoeksteen next to the church. There are regular nice exhibitions here. Admission is free, but there will be a collection afterwards. Opening hours: from April to October on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM and Thursdays from 1:00 PM, the church is open for viewing. (Opening hours subject to church activities, weddings, funerals and public holidays). On Ascension Day, the opening may start later due to the service.
