Exposition of Marja van Etten: De weg van kleur
Tuesday 1 to Saturday 27 August 2023 Marja van Etten is inspired by bright colours. 'The Way of Colour' also refers to the diversity in society, in which there is still much to be gained. Moreover, giving colour to life is her attitude to life. With self-developed techniques, she mainly uses paper, thread and wood connected by acrylic. Nature, light, personal and social topics always remain inspiring. With my work, I want to share beauty and let my feelings speak." 'The Way of Colour' is perfectly at home in the sober, intimate atmosphere of The Vermaning. Open: daily from 10 am to 6 pm. Cost: free admission.

This church is well hidden: from the road you have no idea that there is a church on Diek. This is due to its history, De Vermaning was built as a hidden church for the Mennonite congregation. Access through a secret gate The gate of Diek 11 gives you access to the path that takes you to the church. The church is hidden behind a row of houses and in the backyard of Diek 11, as it were. Exhibition space The church is no longer used for services of the Baptist congregation. It is now a place where exhibitions and activities are organized.
