Friday September 1 to Thursday September 28, 2023 The exhibition 'Gepeilde diepten, de Ziel van het Loodswerk' (Pounded depths, the soul of pilotage) was organized on the occasion of the 625th anniversary of the village of Den Hoorn, where many pilots lived. The big man behind the exhibition is Peter Lock. He has succeeded in bringing together a multitude of interesting objects that provide a fascinating picture of the history of pilotage. On display are ship models, navigation and communication tools, photos and paintings, a pilot uniform, various hats, sea charts, etc. and there is a reading table with all kinds of interesting articles. Expert attendants will provide explanations if required. Opening hours: daily from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

This church is well hidden: from the road you have no idea that there is a church on Diek. This is due to its history, De Vermaning was built as a hidden church for the Mennonite congregation. Access through a secret gate The gate of Diek 11 gives you access to the path that takes you to the church. The church is hidden behind a row of houses and in the backyard of Diek 11, as it were. Exhibition space The church is no longer used for services of the Baptist congregation. It is now a place where exhibitions and activities are organized.
