Thursday 1 May 2025 to Monday 26 May 2025 Henk Suilen lives and works on Texel. For his work he often uses realistic subjects, such as the city, landscapes or the mudflats. He abstracts them into atmospheric images in warm colours, painted on panel with mostly transparent paint. The technique can be called quite unique because the result is mirror-smooth, but it is indeed painted. Location: De Vermaning, Diek 11a, Den Hoorn Open daily from 11:00 to 16:00 Free entrance

This church is well hidden: from the road you have no idea that there is a church on Diek. This is due to its history, De Vermaning was built as a hidden church for the Mennonite congregation. Access through a secret gate The gate of Diek 11 gives you access to the path that takes you to the church. The church is hidden behind a row of houses and in the backyard of Diek 11, as it were. Exhibition space The church is no longer used for services of the Baptist congregation. It is now a place where exhibitions and activities are organized.
