During this excursion of Texel Excursies you will discover the history of the Defense Line of Den Helder and Huisduinen, you will pass interesting places in the maritime and sturdy city. From the boat you cycle over the seawall towards Huisduinen, where a visit to Fort Kijkduin and the Atlantic Wall Center is planned. These museums explain the Defense Line of Den Helder, the time of Napoleon and the various naval battles from Huisduinen and the defense line 'Atlantikwall'. After the museum visit, a walk through Den Helder is planned, with a guide who can tell you everything about the city. A unique city where history is still clearly visible. After the tour you are free to explore the city further and, for example, have lunch or discover more of the history of the city yourself. Please note: there is a minimum number of participants for this excursion. In case of too few participants or bad weather, you will be informed in advance whether the excursion can take place. This excursion is given in Dutch. Start time: 9.30 am at the TESO ferry port on Texel or 10.00 am at the TESO ferry port in Den Helder. Check the calendar for the current days and times.
