Wednesday, Sept. 20 to Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023 Sanne paints human figures, seascapes, landscapes and flowers and witty combinations thereof. Her paintings usually radiate a cheerful and uplifting atmosphere and are characterized by a subtle use of color. The people she depicts in a simplified way have a connection with each other or seek that with the viewer. Something similar also applies to her landscapes, in which the interaction between, for example, a tree and a tree or between buildings is central. Much of her work is moving and always involves the nuance of color composition. Sanne is inspired by personal experiences and what she encounters along the way. For example, a walk on Texel produces all kinds of associations that she uses in her studio in Groningen for new "feel-good" paintings. Galerie Posthuys (Brink 14, De Koog) is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm.

Galerie Posthuys in De Koog is not a traditional gallery with classical works of art, but a meeting place where artists, visitors and buyers come together. Modern Art Contemporary art is presented in Galerie Posthuys. Some artists take the landscape and nature as their starting point, such as the dunes, beach and polders. With other artists the starting point is less recognizable, but above all tangible. Rhythm, handwriting and color come to the fore here. The gallery has four rooms, each with its own exhibition. They regularly exhibit new work and can always be seen in the stock attic space anyway. In addition, a dozen new artists are introduced every year. Collaboration and activities Galerie Posthuys also has partnerships with other companies. For example, the gallery has been providing art in Texelsuites since 2006. The exhibition of works of art in Bij Jef is also made by the gallery. Information about these works of art is available in the gallery. Some extra activities worth mentioning are the annual Haringnegendaagse (in June) and the open studio of Maurice Christo van Meijel – every first Sunday of the month during the summer period.
