In the Twilight: theater, music and literature
Sunday 21 April 2024 In the Twilight is a music-theatre performance with actor Hans Dagelet, violinist Esther Apituley and pianist Guus Janssen. In this absurdist performance, we see three people struggling with emotions and ideas that are too big to bear, with music being the mirror of a tormented emotional life. With a hefty dose of humour, the actors reflect on the bizarre corona period as a historical event of stature. Music, theatre and literature flow shamelessly together. The performance has been made possible thanks to project Geestdrift. Time: 3 pm to 5 pm. Cost: € 13.50 on sale via www.projectgeestdrift.nl

This church is well hidden: from the road you have no idea that there is a church on Diek. This is due to its history, De Vermaning was built as a hidden church for the Mennonite congregation. Access through a secret gate The gate of Diek 11 gives you access to the path that takes you to the church. The church is hidden behind a row of houses and in the backyard of Diek 11, as it were. Exhibition space The church is no longer used for services of the Baptist congregation. It is now a place where exhibitions and activities are organized.
