Icons by Joke Moonen
Thursday 4 April to Monday 15 April 2024 During her lifetime, Joke Moonen (1933-2020) from Den Burg enthusiastically engaged in painting icons, a very special technique that requires skill, patience and perseverance. Joke's legacy can now be admired and all icons are for sale. Daughter Isabella, who is looking for a good home for her mother's 'life's work', will be present during the exhibition. Time: daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free entrance.

This church is well hidden: from the road you have no idea that there is a church on Diek. This is due to its history, De Vermaning was built as a hidden church for the Mennonite congregation. Access through a secret gate The gate of Diek 11 gives you access to the path that takes you to the church. The church is hidden behind a row of houses and in the backyard of Diek 11, as it were. Exhibition space The church is no longer used for services of the Baptist congregation. It is now a place where exhibitions and activities are organized.
