‘Dodargh’ transatlantic folk music
Sunday 26 May 2024 ‘Dodargh’, folk band from the Achterhoek region with transatlantic folk music, performs at De Vermaning in Den Hoorn. Dodargh draws inspiration from both traditional and modern folk songs. Sensitive ballads (some home-made), cheerful songs and smooth instrumentals that invite dancing alternate. The acoustic music, polyphonic singing and their charisma are infectious. Time: from 3 pm to 5 pm Everyone is welcome, voluntary contribution

This church is well hidden: from the road you have no idea that there is a church on Diek. This is due to its history, De Vermaning was built as a hidden church for the Mennonite congregation. Access through a secret gate The gate of Diek 11 gives you access to the path that takes you to the church. The church is hidden behind a row of houses and in the backyard of Diek 11, as it were. Exhibition space The church is no longer used for services of the Baptist congregation. It is now a place where exhibitions and activities are organized.
