Sunday 18 August 2024 A solo concert with baroque music on traverso by Ruth Boersma. The 'traverso' is a wooden baroque flute, which is seen as the 18th-century precursor of the modern transverse flute. Ruth is devoted to her instrument, made of boxwood after G.A. Rottenburgh. In the intimate atmosphere of De Vermaning she lets 'the soft wood speak' in compositions by Quantz, Telemann, Bach and Hotteterre. Time: 3:00 PM. Access through a secret gate The gate of Diek 11 gives you access to the path that takes you to the church. The church is hidden behind a row of houses and in the backyard of Diek 11, as it were. Exhibition space The church is no longer used for services of the Baptist congregation. It is now a place where exhibitions and activities are organized.
