Visiting Texel by car? Then buy a Texel Vignette to park carefree. You can buy this digital parking ticket quickly and simply online via smartphone, tablet or computer. Texel has paid parking in all villages and at the beaches. You pay € 2.50 per hour for a single ticket at the ticket machine (coins not possible). A Texel vignette costs €10 per day, €20 per week (valid for 8 days) or €30 for a year (valid for 365 days).

The enforcers will scan your license plate and see for which period you have purchased a Texel Vignette. Handy, isn't it? The vignette is a digital proof of parking, so you do not get a sticker, pass or card. The vignette can be purchased online via www.texelvignet.nl/en and also from the parking meters. Paid parking applies in all villages (built-up areas) and at the carparks at the beaches from Monday to Sunday from 08.00 to 20.00, including on public holidays. At some busy points within the centres of Den Burg and, to a limited extent, De Koog, only a parking duration restriction and no paid parking applies. At these spots you may park for a maximum of 2 hours, 1 hour or 30 minutes. The map at the bottom of this page shows where parking duration restrictions apply.
At a limited number of locations within the village centers, the parking time is a maximum of 30 minutes to 2 hours. This is indicated by signs and an overview can also be found via this link. Use your blue parking disc to indicate your arrival time.

No problem. On Texel, public transport gets you everywhere. This is arranged with the Texelhopper. A regular bus line (line 28) runs between the ferry port and the villages of Den Burg and De Koog. Texel is pre-eminently a cycling island. There is no less than 145 kilometers of cycling path that takes you past the most beautiful places. You can rent (electric) bicycles at the ferry harbour, in almost all villages and at various holiday parks. There are charging points for e-bikes in more and more places.
