There are more than 80 nudist beaches in the Netherlands, two of which are on Texel. One is in the south of the island, level with beach-marker 9 (‘Paal 9’), and the other is situated in the northern part of Texel, close to De Cocksdorp.
This beach is only seven kilometres from the ferry docks and you can reach it by car or bike from the beach entrance at Paal 9. In this part of Texel, nudism is permitted between beach-markers 8.00 and 10.13 according to Texel’s bylaws. This nudist beach does not feature any beach cafés or other facilities. At Paal 9, there is a small shop and a beach café (not specifically for naturists).
In the north of Texel, nudism in permitted between beach-marker 26.4 and 27.45, close to De Cocksdorp. There are signs to mark the location of the nudist beach. There is a small shop on the beach at Paal 28 (not specifically for naturists).
Loodsmansduin Campsite has closed off part of the grounds and reserved it specifically for naturists. This campsite, which is situated in the National Park Duinen van Texel, has spacious pitches among the heather-covered dunes. The nudist section runs along the outer edge of the campsite, so it is both quiet and private. You can, when dressed, use the campsites facilities such as the heated swimming pool.
