Peter Nederstigt

As E-commerce Manager since 2016, Peter has a versatile job at VVV Texel, where he can put his experience in (online) accommodation rentals to good use.

What do you do at VVV Texel?

‘As e-commerce manager, I enjoy working closely with my colleagues and the island's entrepreneurs. I make sure landlords and ticket providers are always well found in Google through their presentation on our website Texel.net. And that they get as much return as possible from viewing their accommodation or activity online. In doing so, I make sure - together with technical partners - that the technology behind our website works properly and that our site really meets visitors' expectations. It is also my job to make sure that the money we put in on behalf of the entrepreneurs to appear in Texelfans' mailboxes or browsers via advertisements is well and efficiently spent. Working and living on the most beautiful Wadden Island in the world with cool colleagues and very regular pastries from satisfied landlords is just the most fun there is!’

Peter's favourite...

Village: You just have to experience the laid-back atmosphere in Oudeschild harbour. Just sit on a bench by the canal boats for an hour and you won't need a psychiatrist or mindfulness coach.
Shop: Vispaleis and smokehouse Van der Star has the best herring in our country
Texel word: Met smaak (With taste! ) My colleague Anita (real Texelse) can pronounce this very nicely!
Outing: in summer, lunch at Strandpaviljoen Kaap Noord. Looking out over the Wadden Sea and North Sea with a delicious sandwich and a drink!
Restaurant: restaurant Pollo in De Koog has the best half chicken in our country. And I am the most discerning chicken eater out there.
Texel beer: several breweries on Texel brew the most delicious beer. Skuumkoppe is of course delicious, but also have a fresh TX Goudwit. Lovely in summer and not too much alcohol!

Anne-Marie deals with Travelbase management and database marketing. She enjoys helping partners set up their Travelbase environment.

Danielle Snowden-Boom

Manager of the Font Office department of VVV Texel is Daniëlle. She makes the rosters and oversees the day-to-day running of the department.

Marie-Christine Pijnenburg

Marie-Christine is a Front Office Employee and answers the phone, emails, apps and social media messages. She also works in the shop regularly.

Afke Jimmink

Afke has been working in the Front Office department since 1997. She informs guests in the shop and online about activities on the island.

Melissa de Vries

As a Front Office employee, Melissa is happy to answer your questions about Texel or accommodations. She has been happily doing this since 2018!
